WONDR Experience runs a bachelorette package in Amsterdam Noord, and it is built for exactly this: ten women, an afternoon, something to do together that is not drinking. Fourteen interactive rooms, a room-sized ball pit, a confetti shower and glitter karaoke booths, at Meeuwenlaan 88, one metro stop from Central Station.
The reason it works for a hen party is that everybody participates at the same time and everybody ends up in the photos. Nobody is left holding the bags.
What does a hen party at WONDR look like?
You go through the fourteen rooms as a group, self-guided, at your own pace. The rooms that groups gravitate to are the ball pit, the confetti shower and the karaoke booths, which are made for a group singing badly together. Hosts are in the rooms and will take group photos. Digital photos taken by the venue are free and sent afterwards.
WONDR offers a dedicated bachelorette package. The details and the booking form are on the packages page, and the party planners handle the rest.
Is there a Barbie option?
Yes. Barbie: The Dream Experience, in the same building, has its own Barbie Bachelorette package. Twelve interactive zones across more than 2,000 m², including a life-size DreamHouse. On Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 17:00 there are adults-only sessions with a welcome drink included, which is the natural time for a hen group.
Where do we eat afterwards?
Pink Beach by WONDR is on the same site: a pink indoor beach bar and brunch spot. Groups of more than eight book through Customer Service rather than the online form. Tables are held for an hour and a half and can usually be extended. Gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan and halal options are on the menu.
How long should we plan?
About 90 minutes for WONDR, another 90 if you add Barbie, and as long as you like at Pink Beach. That is a full afternoon into early evening without leaving one address.
