For a content creator who needs three or four strong visual locations in one day, Amsterdam Noord gives you three at a single address: WONDR Experience, Barbie: The Dream Experience and Pink Beach, all at Meeuwenlaan 88, one metro stop from Central Station. The fourth is the walk along the IJ on the way there.
The advantage over the canals is control. Indoors, the light is the same at 10:00 and at 17:00, the backgrounds are saturated by design, and nobody walks through your frame.
Location one: WONDR Experience
Fourteen interactive rooms designed by local artists, each a different set. The ball pit, which WONDR describes as the largest in Europe, gives the widest, most colourful frame. The kaleidoscope room is the strongest for video. The confetti shower needs a second person to trigger it while you shoot. The glitter karaoke booths are small and saturated, made for phone portraits. Hosts are in the rooms and will operate your camera if you ask. Plan 90 minutes, longer if you are shooting properly. Weekday mornings are quieter and give you empty rooms.
Location two: Barbie: The Dream Experience
Same building, separate ticket. Twelve zones across more than 2,000 m² in one colour palette, including a life-size DreamHouse and a rocket interior. About 90 minutes. Digital photos taken by the venue are sent by email within three hours of the visit. Some zones have dynamic and flashing lights, which affects exposure.
Location three: Pink Beach
A pink indoor beach bar and brunch spot on the same site, bookable on its own. Sand, pink, daylight from the cover. It works as the food scene and as the third set. Open from 11:00 on weekdays and 10:00 at the weekend.
Location four: the IJ waterfront
The free ferry from Central Station to Noord and the walk along the water give you the outdoor material, weather permitting. It is the only part of the day that depends on the sky.

Metro from Central Station one stop to Noorderpark, five minutes on foot to Meeuwenlaan 88. Card payment only across the site. Free lockers at the WONDR entrance for gear.
